thats cool, but as far as an oriental look, i think its halfway between that and a european one. but its still good. |

Well, you have done a great job creating a not-quite-oriental dragon, which I think was your goal. If you wanted to make it a little more traditional-looking, you could give him antlers instead of horns and a big white mustache. But in all honesty, it's really cool the way it is. Welcome aboard, by the way.

all,
thanks for the thoughts and kudos, much appreciated. i am really going for a dragon that would be convincing duelling with a samurai. so, if he is not all oriental, that's ok, just as long as one could find him convincing in the image. thanks again!

i'm going to bumm u out, cptoonz...
the scales just dont fit. i know u spend days on those but they dont fit to the image. dunno what to say but the iterrupt. i think it's cuz they looks too detailed comaring to the other parts of the draggon.
i totally dig the legs, head and tail!

im not bummed, i appreciate your opinion...once i finish the coloring and shading you might change your mind. in my defense, however, the scales define the countours of the dragon's body, which is what i was going for. thanks!

yeah, i actually thought the scales were pretty cool, because like he said, they contour to his body. if there was a little shading on that purple part i think it would fix the discrepencies in detail. |
