Sorry, its just a D&D pic I did for my Buddy on the West Coast, who is big into fantasy stuff. It started out as a 2 inch pencil doodle and ended up as this. If I thought the doodle would scan, i would post it as well.
Colored in PS with a mouse. I know its real basic, but any tips will always be integrated into the collective and adapted for future use.
I have no clue what Eventine is supposed to look like for real, I drew it to resemble my friend, but with muscles.

Thanks and enjoy

You pic looks good! I like the anime style face.

There are two things I think you need to work on a little bit though.

First off, You pic looks a little flat. This is probably due to you being scared to make darker shadows (I seen that you added shadows...but it wasnt bold enough) I couldnt really even tell where the light source was coming from

My last drawing instructor always told people never to be scared to make things darker...everyone always trys to make things too bright. They dont add enough contrast.

Second off his pose looks a little odd. Like he is about to fall over. This is due to you shifting his weight over to far to the left. To make a stonger looking pose you want to bend the hips and shoulders over oposite axis. This will give that shurg look that you wanted without making look like he is going to fall.

By the way, I took your work and did a quick example of what I was talking about. Hope you arent angry...I just did this so you know exactly what I mean.

Other than those two points, look great! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments. I completely forgot about the hips/shoulder thing. I saw on anothe rsite soemone had mentioned that if a hip is up, that shoulder is usually down. Looking at my original doodle, I did have it at a more correct angle, but not by much...

I'm not upset at the paintover, I even asked for them.
Its true about me adding shadows, i forgot to even shade the side of his head where his hair is...so much to look at when you move up to trying to color from just inking. I am still trying to learn PS and dont really know all the commands for good shading, still trying to figure out what the dodge/burn technique everyone talks about is... oh, well, practice makes perfect, eventually.

Updated the pic, I know the shadows arent as bold as they should be, but I'm still a scaredy cat. My next post in the series will hopefully be better...
