Hi!
My first post
This drawing is just a test so that I before I do the real thingie.. I need help with everything, as you can se, but especially the reflections from the sun and the fire. Also I appreciate any tip on fire effects/smoke.
Later on I'm thinking of adding a warrior in the bottom right foreground. Tip on how he should be illuminated...
See ya!

I think reflection depends on the weather and water, but try making it sharp horizontal lines and smudge where needed. |

yeah.
something like this for the fire and do the same thing for the sun
but on a much bigger scale of course.
maybe you should consider putting your
burning boat somewhere else than in the reflection of the sun.
and maybe adding some mountains or a coast.
btw this image is a colorkey I made this summer for an animation project...

I can't get the fire to look realistic, but you can't blame me for trying
It's quite like yours, but it's still a training drawing...

that first image of your third post is much better: the reflection is smudged-
maybe do the same with the rock's reflection
and keep your flames going in the same direction.
and for the photorealistic look
> try pasting a photo of fire/flames in it
..might work.. |

I think you have too much focus on the flames. What about smoke. Try making a pillar of smoke and then add light and flames to the bottom.
I'm sorry that I don't have time to paint an example. |
