how's this for more realistic? This one was the 2nd image I did with my graphics pad.
Sorry- Image is HUGE! Wallpaper size- didn't feel like resizing it. Sides you can get a good look at the detail and critique
Comments good and bad welcome. |

I like the eyes a lot and the forehead gem thing. The shadow on the nose seems a little posterized (that's the best word I can think of) and a little too black. Otherwise very nice.
Nice photography, too. If only I didn't have to pay to see it... |

Very nice work.
I would soften up that lower side of the face with the shadow. Just looks a little to sharp.

Wow thats really smooth. Just one thing I noticed was the lack of bottem eyelashes? I'm not saying that you need them, its more a matter of preference. But it makes the rim on the lower lid really stick out, maybe the eyeball could be brighter. Since the reflective light is so shiny on the iris I would think there would be some on the whites of the eye to. Anyways great work! |

mmmm... yah thought 'bout the eyelash thing but was working more on the shadowing. That nose drove me nuts. `grin` seems like each piece have a different spot that drives me batty. sometimes fishnets, sometimes noses, sometimes other things. As for the shadow along the jaw... I tried smoothing it a bit more but wasn't looking right to me. Part of this image's charm is stepping back and looking at it. |

Nice pic! Although it is a bit too stylized for me to consider it realistic... reminds me of art deco or something.

I like this style. This kind of style can be done with vector, illustrator, flash ect.
Kinda like a siloet, how ever that is spelled |

The face looks anatomically correct and pretty. I see some lighting issues though. Just like A.Buttle said, the nose shadow is a little too dark. See also the lighting on lower lip and lower eye areas.
The gem seems a pinch too detailed compared to the style used elsewhere. Very odd thing is that I didn't notice that gem implant until I saw the A.B. comment - I studied the image about 10 seconds before revising the comments. Hmm... feels like one of the jedi mind tricks...
Putting the magnifying glass away I'd say 'tis picture shows a great talent, definitely NOT anywhere near mediocre.
I'll be observing your future threads.
/me forces his head stuck in a tilting angle back in upright position after staring at the picture for about 5 minutes
[edit: chhrist, why there have to be soo many buttons in me keybord.. ? tis so confusing... and theres soo many dificult words which arent helping]

just wanted to add the photo that I did this from. Yeah I now that I look @ it some of the light is conflicting. Took artist liberty and didn't think about it. Was second piece I done on my graphics pad and was really playing around- first piece is HORRIBLE.
I took the photo. |

I like this! My only critique is for her upper lip, it's edges are too defined imho, compared to the soft shadow sorrounding the lips they stand up too much. Maybe it's just me. |

Great to see you posting on here, Natasha - This piece looks great... The only thing I was going to mention was that the eyebrows seemed kind of light, but then I saw your reference photo, so nevermind. Keep up the good work!

P.S. On your links page, could you change my URL to read "Ramenbudget" instead of "Ramenbidget"? ;D Thanks... hehe |
