Hay hay!

Hmm, been a loooong while since I last posted here. Well I tried anime for a while, came back with a little more than I started with, so that's a good thing but I keep straying to more traditional art. Anyhow, here's a fellow I drew up in art class a few days ago, I scanned him last night and colored him up.

I find those markers renders very attractive, so I decided to give it a try for myself. Seeing as how I don't have any decent markers I fired up Photoshop and used a square brush set to 70% opacity.

Tell me whatchya think!

Cheers
~Chris

i think the strokes sahould have been from up to down instead of left to right. especially on the legs and arms. more details to the gun and metal texture too.

sorry dude... this isn't really all that good. it might have been a little better if you had made the outlines thicker and darker.

... and smoother. it just seems like you didn't put any time into this. i'm not sure what your age or skill level are, but this could have been a lot better quite easily. you didn't even finish it. therefore, i'm sure most people don't wanna spend the time to give it a decent crit. you back, put more contrast into the picture. use some brighter and darker colors. finish the sketch. make it thick and black and smooth. then maybe this will be worth viewing. right now. it's not.

Well I certainly do appreciate your unabashed comments I got some crits on this on another board noting I should work on being more final with my lines and darkening em up.

And I suppose you're right ;c) I just wanted to feel loved *sniffle*

Hehe anyways thanks for taking the time to reply to my horrid piece of art

Cheers
