Howdy folks!
Just looking for general comments & crits.
Please let me know what you think. This painting is quite different from most stuff seen here... but that's ok, as long as it holds its own. It's more in the Editorial ILLUSTRATION realm.
I'm sick of looking at this image... I actually don't know how good it is... my eyes are tainted and not fresh anymore. That's where you come in! Let me know your thoughts.
Here's a bit about the work:
Title: Imagination Inc.
Year Created: 2003
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Canvas (textured)
Dimension: about 4 feet by 3 feet
This work explores ones imagination. What is it and where does it come from? Is it driven by Divine Inspiration (metaphysical), or materialistic reasoning? Is a creation simply the sum of its lesser dead parts... collecting personal experiences and dead unoriginal ideas, and forging them into a new original work... imagination as a catalyst. Can one escape ones own imagination, or does the imagination simply demand labor from its host? Is the resulting fruits of ones labor a commercial product or something more, something with more purpose? Perhaps it is a bit of all of the above.
This work is not supposed to be realistic, however there are some realistic parts. Yes I know the perspective may be off etc., but it is meant to be, shall I say, stylized and iconic.
Well that's quite enough from me. I'll let you do the typing now.
Thanks in advance for any comments... I appreciate them.[/img] _________________ Try to please all, and ye shall please none. |

It was digitally photographed. I'm pretty happy with the result.
Thanks for the kind words krichmond! _________________ Try to please all, and ye shall please none. |

Great job!!!
I love the details... so cool.
And hey - don't sweat the single response thing.
I've noticed that feedback moves slow around here.
I don't usually get too many m'self.
*grin*
