Does anyone here use Poser4 to get their poses/shadows/proportions right? I saw a post before that had the "Poser4 Equivelant" and i was wondering if alot of people use it or not... |

I occassionally use it, but more for setting up compositions in 3D. I used to use it a little for proportions with poses, but not much anymore because I want to learn that sort of thing from figure drawing. Poser's models are a little screwy, and don't show muscles very well.. especially when you're posing figures. |

Poser models are so stiff and unnatural they most often stick out from an image like a sore thumb, even if just used as reference. Steer clear is my advice. |

Yeah, I agree. I hate Poser. I made the mistake of registering a copy of Bryce 3D I bought many years ago (forgive me, I didn't know). I still get crap in the mail about Poser. One time I got this Poser comic about two superheroes fighting some villian. They also happened to be acrobats, since the artist couldn't find a superhero model, and used the famous Poser acrobat one instead. God, it was terrible. |

I use it for some pictures if I'm having a hard time with it.
I would agree that the models are a little stiff but you compensate in Photoshop.
This is a picture I am working on now that used a Poser4 model for a reference (from the tits down) |
