I'm going to Stockholm, and I don't trust the surge protectors to protect the PaintChat server. The PaintChat will therefore go offline until tomorrow afternoon, roughly 30 hours after this message has been posted. _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Come on in guys, we're closing up in a week unless someone else can run the server.

Anyone up for a day of mad paintchatting on Saturday (the 20th)? There's enough room for a lot of people, but it's been a little dead lately. _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I really have no clue when most people are around but I'm thinking around 3 pm GMT (4 pm GMT+1 (Germany, Sweden), 10 am EST). Might be a bit early for some west coast Americans (or some Americans in general? ), but it'll really be a drop-in session all day. I apologize for that remark, please kick my ass.
Remember, if you don't see anyone right away, go ahead and stick around for a while. Someone else will appear eventually (only applicable for unhexed people).
Thanks Matthew.
Edit: If you can't remember the IP, try this forwarder:

The Marathon will mark the last 24 hours of the life of the PaintChat. With some luck, a replacement host can be found, but it doesn't look very likely as-is. So everyone, even if you can't join up at 4 pm (GMT+1, in roughly 3 hours and 30 mintues after this very post was made), go ahead and drop in later if you wish.
Hopefully we can have a big painting party today with many participants.

the marathon has started, a paintchat marathon with constant painting until tomorrow. Be sure to join cause this is the last paintchat activity in sijun, for now anyway.

Ranath, have you tried to shut down all browser windows? The 70% loading stall bug seems to take place when Java crashes. You may want to try to reboot your computer as well. _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Thanks everyone who joined up (so far), it's been an awesome ride. After roughly 10 hours of painting, all I can say is wow. We gotta do this again sometime.
The PaintChat will be around until tomorrow, probably around 4 pm (GMT +1) as previously announced. If you haven't tried it already, go ahead and join up. _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Okay, the PaintChat is going down soon. I want to thank everyone who participated, the marathon would not have been possible without you guys. Visiting Sijun and the speedpainting thread has become a daily habit for me, and I'll really miss you guys. I guess it's time to see what direction art school may take me to.
We will likely be able to do this again some weekend soon. If I get PaintChat running on the Linux box, I'll let you know. Thanks again everyone! _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Oh man, sorry for the really late response. Art school has been keeping me busy since late August, and I can't give you a proper response as to where to retrieve a working version of PaintChat from here. Apparently the school network doesn't like Google and refuses to open a lot of pages it links to. Gmail doesn't work properly either. I may be able to get back to you soon on a working download site for the software.
Anyway, I will most likely be able to host PaintChat during the weekends from now on, but if Seth can host it all the time, that would be even greater. Is there still any interest in PaintChat here? _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Yeah, I'm totally interested in keeping Paintchat going. If we could keep it up somehow, that'd be great. |

The late reply all good! Congrats on the art school! I could probably for sure keep it up and going! I would have to talk to my buddy about it hosting it. I dont think he would have a problem with it at all....
If you could get me a link to the download or send to me though that would be cool. |
