It seems that Sijun has become more of a lower traffic niche community in recent years than what I remember. In a recent thread, Drunken Monkey has provided a diagram of what may or may not be the case concerning my trend of posting and how it may or may not contribute to the community spirit here at Sijun. As much as I dislike internet drama, I care about Sijun, and would like to avoid alienating old-time members.

It is at this point that I would like you to consider the evidence:

As members of the Sijun Digital Art Forums, I ask for your opinion as to whether I, Nilwort, should continue to post here out of respect for the continuity and the coherence of the forum as a whole.

I have attached a poll to this thread. The conclusion of this poll will determine if I continue to post here. I am fully resigned to fate and prepared to accept either outcome. Your honest contribution is greatly appreciated.

Responding to one GIS joke with another with an insistence of superiority is about as lame as it gets. Then again, I saw the offending thread earlier and didn't give it a second glance. I think you might be blowing this a little out of proportion, especially considering that the slight in question came from Drunken Monkey. Hero of the booty call he may be, the man is hardly my barometer for good taste and humor on sijun.

You're being pretty sensitive about that. I'll bet just about everyone here has been the butt of a flame here or there. It's really no big deal, people generally talk frankly on any forum. Real trolls don't seem to last too long here, so if someone was really being a jerk you won't have to worry about it.

Ok Impaler thanks for the insight, i also don't really give a shit about what you think is lame, of poor taste or for any of your 'valuable' snobbish sophism here on sijun one way or another.

Nilwort, don't know what you are talking about to be honest... if i am causing someone to be emotionally hurt... or god forbit psychologically damaged with my early morning bullshit piss match posts, then that someone needs to reexamine just how much value they attribute to all this fast passing internet junk. As great as this forum always was it was never without a little locker room element (not of eat poo level thankfully). I have no problems with you wether you stay or leave. I vote stay.

Regardless of what anyone contributes here, be it inane rambles, some virgin pick up artist theoretics, pictures of dinosaurs, shitty mullins imitations (guilty) or a "good job! keep it up!" comments in every thread, its all welcome imho. Thats what makes this sijun soup so good.

p.s.
go post something in speed thread... or perhaps start a "Random Musings" forum where only PC attitude is tolerated and where food is served by a waiter in a clean tux, even though it all tastes like dry sponge.

eyewoo: I'm willing to bet that intelligence is part genuine and part a kind of defensive front. At least if anything this guy says has any validity.

All the hostility just gets on my nerves. Even though it's probably not realistic to expect everything to be butterflies and cupcakes. I guess it's just a part of life and a way to defend our pieces of existential pie.
