There's no one way to go about it. You could consider any or all of the following:

Make them come to you -- if your portfolio is good enough, and you're posting your work at sites like Sijun, then you might be contacted with work. Your portfolio probably needs to be great for this to happen.

Watch for work offers -- keep an eye on sites like Sijun where work is often posted. Sometimes it'll be for money and sometimes it'll be free projects. You probably shouldn't do free work for projects where everyone else is being paid, but if you're just starting out then working on free projects (where everyone involved is doing it just for fun and the experience) is a good way to develop your talents and portfolio.

Cold calling -- contact production companies and game companies, and anyone who uses freelancers. Even if they don't have work for you right at that time, if they like your portfolio they're likely to keep your contact details for a time when they might have work available.

There are probably also websites that congregate freelance work (either available work or available artists) though I don't know of any offhand.

to make speedie, selfportrait is fun exercise.. would be fun if we see your works in some active threads here Wink

if you do good works, one or some might recognize your potential in speedie thread or in a popular forum.

good luck!
