There's just too much awesome stuff in here!
@XIA: Lovely painting. I've got to start painting and drawing animals soon.
@Munin: Sweet sea study!
@RV-: Awesome mech sketch .
@Petri.J: Loving those oils, especially the overall mood in the second painting.
@alexson: That last one is really nice.
Just some moody pieces from. Finally took the time to create my own brushes. I think I only have two brushes in my current set that I didn't create myself. I'm also starting to explore custom shapes as a means to adding quick and dirty texture, along with overlays of old paintings. Nothing too exciting. I mainly focused on the overall mood.
I really need to start working on my drawing abilities in general, even though I think it's healthy to just relax and mess around with new techniques for a while. I guess I'll load up pixelovely and start doing some traditional figure sketches. |

@alexson, cheers man. Cool mechas!
Today's theme was clouds and is inspired by Iceland. Oil on A2 canvas.

Thanks, guys. great stuff filling up these pages lately.
Alexson: That monolithic rock paint is so gorgeous. Massive mood to be found in the simplicity.
Petri.J: So nice to see some oil work in here. Marvelous sense of vastness and movement in the Icelandic inspired piece.
Rinthe: Dig the swordstess. My favourite end of the palette spectrum. Also very pleasing to see watercolour work in this thread. Bravo!
Xia: Love those birds of prey.
Ranath: Really like your recent posts. Lots of big brush strokes and forceful suggestion. Confident work.
A bunch of abstract/stylised Nintendo DS paints done while waiting for other shit to happen in real life. I had to group these little bastards together to post elsewhere, so I figured I might as well post 'em here too, so I can drop comments.

Rinthe: More watercolours!
Ranath: Love the supping girl, and the palatte of the dragon piece.
Q.Design: That low angle really kicks ass. Grea dynamic composition!
Bierberg: Sweet low key sexyness. I always find those kind of situations much, much harder than they initially appear to be. Low light plein-air stuff totally wipes the floor with me. Great experiences, but fucking frustrating.
Trying to paint landscape from imagination and keep things grounded... Penis-shaped mountain tops were out this time round!
