Do you have any tips on how to pick the right colors, and how to make a nice transition between them(and the shading)?
What resolutions do you work with?
Do you add all of the details in a picture yourself, or do you use any filters?

Thanx for the inspiration.

As far as picking colors go, it really is trial an error, pick a color, put it down and see how it looks. If it doesnt work try another color. Or sometimes I just draw the picture and then adjust the colors afterwards using the adjust/color menu. (i think thats what its called)

Nice transitions work well when you use the airbrush tool since it lays down an even amount of color.

Most of the details I add by myself, however, in some cases I might take a texture of a surface and overlay it on a section which i want to look grittier. This however only works in a few cases since it's easy to make it look fake. I'll explain more about this in the next tutorial.
