hmm why is it so blurred?
the elf looks quite good (even though its not drizzt ) but the sword definitely needs some serious overworking |

What's up with that white outline...
Did you draw the background seperately from the figure?
Also... don't be afraid to let the figure blend into the background, especially the dark parts!

I coloured the darkelve first and then the
background . It was originally a colour
experiment , because I am still not sure
what method of colouring I should use .
The white line is still from the magic wand
tool with which I marked the white background .
I thought it would look better with
background . |

cool stuff man,
only a couple things.
That red in the armor kinda makes the elf look not so dark. It looks almost plastic.. maybe a dark silver or black steel look. Only my taste =]
Also, you should try rendering your own lighting effects by hand rather than using the gradient tool or 'lighting effects' in photoshop. The beam effect I think you're looking for works good up top but it really drowns out his legs and looks artificial down at the bottom.
