this is something I probably should have never done twice...doesn't work that way ..has to be impulsive.
But you see, I've just stopped smoking this new year (one month now ). That's also the reason why I have been so stupidly productive here lately, ..I draw all day long now to avoid thinking about cigarettes and to prevent that "boredom" feeling that comes when the worst addiction goes away. I'm sure others than me here at the forum knows what I'm talking about, hehe
sorry.

Congrats btw Joachim. I know how tough it is to stop smoking, my father and sister did and the best thing you can do is support them! Congrats and great work! The female form truly is a work of art! I'm blessed to have my wife to testify to that!

what a thread, so many great things here!!
Joachim: wow I love your last pictures so much. i think they are quicker, sketchier and not that polished and it's like looking at them for a second and thinking, hey I learned something ;-). and believe me (if my little opinion is of any value :P ) it worked twice, the woman-drawing is sooo great!
Brue: hey, your picture really made me lol :-) . the setting/composition is so cool and the situation so absurd and stupid :-) hehe i guess (by reading your own comment) you were smiling too :-)
...maybe i'll come up with something too

frost, the only thing embarrasing is your additude towards your art. Get some fucking confidence you fucking pussy. All you do is whine and moan about how bad your art is when 3/4 this forum doesn't have the knowlage you have. So grow up already. |

Wow, so much great stuff. I will not start picking out anyone, they are all beautiful.
Spooky & Togusa, thank you so much for such encouraging words.
well, to be realy honest, I wouldn't say that either this one or the last girl wasn't actually much influenced by the music I was listening to. They were both very impulsivly drawn, with just faint idea far back in my head, but nothing clear.
The first one I did, the monster self-portrait, I can honeslty say the music was speaking to me

Hello Joachim, I want to be a part of your cool thread too...
Well, I pu t on some music, and drew this in a hurry, using both Photoshop and Painter. I never use colors like this... I guess I learnt something from this too.
Funny excersice, Joachim. (Damn you are good at drawing women!)
Didn't knew you have quitted smoking? (Visste ikke at du ryka en gang..) I quitted in July. It's just a disgusting habit anyway. Smells like shit, too. Good luck. The first day is the worst, then it's easier and easier. If you have succeed a full month, then you should be OK. Greetings!!

joachim: I love the last 2 pics you posted. Reminds me of Frank Miller and Frazetta combined. The color palettes are really great. Really neat to see you and micke experimenting with all the different tones. |
