IMHO the problem with the hair is it doesn't look as she was swimming. Her pose is right, but if she is swimming her hair would look different, over her face or "going backwards". I hope this makes sense

Hehe, you don't start any flame wars with that. I think it's a very nice topic, personally. But, as long as what you are longing for is some genuine feedback, because I don't think it's important to try aiming for those "great stuff, keep it up" kind of comments. Because, they are really not important for improving your skills, just ego. I too wish that everyone would get feedback, the sad thing is that constructive and valuable critics often comes with those pictures that everyone replies to as well...but, what I'm trying to say is that the amount of replies isn't what really counts, it's more the good ones, if that made sense ?!? ....The goal should be to become a hotshot in the real world, because that's what really counts....-that's probably the only good thing I learnt by participating in the demo scene, back in the old days.

Your picture. To be really honest, I find it very hard to give constructive feedback on it. Since, everything I say, could be really stupid. The reason is because it's a very "abstract" one. It's a nice picture, but very "artistic" and not the kind of image were you have challenged yourself to focus on anatomical, light and that kind of things. Therefor, everything could be correct, and if I would give you some feedback, that's the things I would focus on, therefor probably just something that would change your picture more than improving it. That's also why it can be hard for people post on it, because unless there's something in the picture that appeals to them in a very special way, they would not know what to say. That's just my overall feeling about the forum and feedback on art in general, could be wrong, but that's atleast why I would have had problems replying to this image in the first place. But, I do agree that it's sad that feedback often follows certain artists or the pictures that people generally like without having much helpful hints to. Personally, I reply less to those images that I would love to give serious ctitics and hints to, because it takes more tinking to give the right feedback, and often I don't have the patience or time to do it. But, I think the most fun thing to write about in the forum is when I do get the time or chance to help others, and I'm sure many others feels the same way. Now, just for the record, I just write this to say how I feel about things, not that I'm saying that I'm some "elite" that knows all the answers, because I don't.
